What type of paint works best on the timber?
Any non toxic, water based craft paint or poster paint works wonderfully. We recommend applying a light, even layer to your child's hand using a makeup sponge or foam roller, then pressing gently onto the timber base. Let the print dry flat completely before standing it up.
Can this plaque fit prints from more than one child?
Yes. The generous 25cm by 20cm dimensions comfortably accommodate two baby or toddler handprints, or one larger child print. For two children, simply overlap the palms slightly or place them side by side above the engraved poem.
How do I care for the timber sign over time?
Keep your timber plaque displayed indoors, away from damp spaces and harsh direct sunlight. To clean away dust, simply wipe the wooden face and acrylic frame gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth.
